  • Road of the Kami
    Road of the Kami
    This 500 meter-long Road of the Kami leads from the Miho Shrine to Miho no Matsubara where you can find the Hagoromo Pine Tree. The road lined with pine trees that are 200 to 300 years old is incredibly scenic. Our hotel is located just down the road.
  • World Heritage site Miho no Matsubara
    World Heritage site Miho no Matsubara
    A pine tree that is about 200 years old can be found in Miho no Matsubara, which is one of the three great views of Japan. The view of Mt. Fuji from that spot is outstanding. It is famed for the legend of Hagoromo (robe of feathers) which is associated with our hotel.
  • The Elene monumentThe Elene monument
    This is a monument dedicated to the French dancer, Elene Giuglaris, who was fascinated by the Noh play "Hagoromo" and longed to see Miho no Matsubara, but died before she could visit this land.
    A few strands of her hair are buried under the monument.

    This is where Tennyo and the white dragon were destined to meet.
    There is an old custom that your wish will come true if you write down your wish on a stone. It is said that you may meet someone special.
  • Marine Science Museum
    Marine Science Museum
    Here you can learn all about marine fauna and flora.
    There are about 20,000 fish of 300 different species.
  • Kunozan Toshogu
    Kunozan Toshogu
    By Tokugawa Ieyasu's will, this became his final resting place. There is a museum in the shrine.
    This shrine enshrines the spirit of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The building is protected as an Important Cultural Property. The scenic view from the top of the 1159 stone stairs is a must see.
  • Toro
    Toro
    These ruins are well-known in Japan for it is there that wet rice paddy fields from the Yayoi period (about 1800 years ago) were discovered. They can tell us a lot about ancient agriculture.
    Tools for daily life, agriculture, fishing, and hunting have been excavated, and the pit-house, raised floor buildings, and shrine have been rebuilt.
  • Nihondaira
    Nihondaira
    Located between Shizuoka-city and Shimizu-city. It was chosen as the top tourist spot in Japan out of a hundred.
  • Ryuge-ji temple
    Ryuge-ji temple
    It has the oldest and larget Osotetsu which is one of the Japanese treatures. There are also a Mt. Meru style garden.
  • Ishigaki Strawberry
    Ishigaki Strawberry
    Planting between the piled up stone walls and concrete walls on the south faced land and grew by the power of sun. There are hog-backed vinyl greenhouses.
